Willingway Hospital presents the Annual Haunted Forest of Statesbor0
Statesboro, GA – October 11, 2017
It’s that time again! The ghost, goblins and Koko the Clown will be out in full force at the 2017 annual Haunted Forest. The Boys and Girls Club of Bulloch County has been getting ready for one of our community’s all-time favorite events. We had a great turn out last year, and we are predicting an even better one this year!
The history of the Haunted Forest dates back to 1980, when GSU Professor of Recreation and Leisure Studies “Mouse” Blankenbaker launched the event with the help of students in her Planning Program class. The forest was a phenomenal success and became a campus tradition until Professor Blankenbaker’s retirement in 2003.
In 2009 Willingway Hospital and the Boys & Girls Club partnered to revive the Haunted Forest and reestablish the event’s long history and tradition. Each year the Haunted Forest incorporates new themes to the five “Scare Stations” to ensure a frightful experience for the thousands of loyal and returning patrons.
The 2017 Haunted Forest will take place behind The Clubhouse on 2704 Old Register Rd. Statesboro, GA., October 24th through October 31st from 8:00 PM until Midnight. General Admission is $10 per person, $5 Children 10 & under.
Tickets can be purchased inside The Clubhouse. A waiver must be completed before you can enter the Haunted Forest. Save time getting in the door; please sign the online waiver by visiting https://theclubhouse.pfestore.com/waiver/.
All proceeds will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Bulloch County.
