On June 21, 2018 CORE Credit Union hosted their 42nd Annual Meeting. In honor of the credit union mantra of “people helping people” CORE Credit Union presented the Boys and Girls Club of Bulloch County a $5,000 check to help with their unexpected HVAC replacement. Ron Wright, of the Boys and Girls Club, was present to accept the donation.
Robert Clampett, President/CEO stated, “when I saw the article in the Statesboro Herald that the Boys and Girls Club was in need, I knew it was the right thing to do. I immediately contacted our Board of Directors and received a unanimous approval”.
While this is not the first time CORE has made donations to the Boys and Girls Club, it is the most recent to such a needed and worthy cause. In 2016, CORE worked closely with the Boys and Girls Club providing support for their Curriculum for Success program. The 8-week course called Money Matters taught financial education to a group of young teens and their parents.
